Porcelain, hand painted figural decoration. The 10th edition to the Man's Best Friend Series is the German Dachshund stein. A Bavarian theme is the setting in which a Dachshund is dressed in lederhosen and suspenders with hat and knapsack. He is seen outdoors in the BlackForest grilling a string of "wieners" and is smearing mustard onto one of them. In the foreground is a full stein of beer, a bottle of ketchup and pretzels. Behind the Dachshund is a jar of sauerkraut, onions; providing all of the necessary condiments.
